As part of its effort to shake off the shackles of the global COVID pandemic, St. Catharines is set to welcome more than a dozen major musical acts for a four-day concert series in Montebello Park. Born & Raised is set to take place June 30 to July 3 with hometown heroes Alexisonfire and City and Colour headlining. The bands curated the lineup, along with Dine Alone Records and Live Nation Canada. Joining them on stage over the weekend are other Canadian bands Billy Talent, Broken Social Scene, the Sam Roberts Band. Elliott, Hot Water Music, Cleopatrick, Ruby Waters, Chastity, Dooms Children, PUP, NOBRO and The OBGMs.
“Something special happens when Alexisonfire gets together,” says George Pettit, the band’s vocalist. “When we’re all on stage, playing in the pocket, we elevate and the audience comes with us. Born & Raised is going to be a beautiful spectacle. City and Colour and AOF are returning to the very streets that created us, joined by a slew of great bands. Can’t wait.”
Tickets for the all-ages event are set to go on sale March 17 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.ca. The presale starts March 14 at 10 a.m. A limited number of four-day bundle ticket passes will be available to purchase for $299 plus service fees. Single day general admission tickets will be $89 plus service fees. Kids under 12 are free.
