Director Peter Jackson has put together a documentary on the sessions that led to the their final studio album, Let It Be. The documentary, entitled The Beatles: Get Back, has been acquired by Disney and will hit theaters on September 4. The film features never-before-seen footage from the sessions as well as a fully restored version of the entire iconic rooftop concert from 1969.
"I'm really looking forward to this film," Ringo Starr added. "Peter is great, and it was so cool looking at all this footage. There was hours and hours of us just laughing and playing music, not at all like the version that came out. There was a lot of joy and I think Peter will show that. I think this version will be a lot more peace and loving, like we really were."
