The Mars Volta Share First New Song In 10 Years

 Post punk prog act The Mars Volta have returned with their first new song in 10 years. 'Blacklight Sunshine' follows 2012's Noctourniquet, which was released shortly before the band announced that they would be breaking up.
 Additionally, the band has announced a North American tour, which will kick off on Septemeber 23rd. The group will perform at Toronto's Massey Hall on October 5th.
 In a statement regarding the song, singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala shared that the lyrics of“Blacklight Shine” help to illuminate the idea of “a wave of rolling blackouts washing memories onto shore, a heartbeat that still remembers everything."
