Tool's new album went to number one... and they did it by selling actual albums.

Prog metal band Tool's first new album in 13 years, Fear Inoculum has reached no.1 on the Billboard chart. This makes their third consecutive album to do so, but what is particularly interesting in this case is that they reached the position by selling actual CDs. Physical sales made up 248,000 of a total 270,000. Quite the feat in the digital era, and made even more impressive given that the sales were made on the album alone, and not as part of the sales boosting 'concert ticket/album bundle' practice.
No vinyl edition has been announced as of yet. Though, given that the limited CD packaging included a rechargeable HD screen, we are eagerly awaiting its release.
