"Weird Al" Graphic Novel Announced

Everybody's favourite parody artist "Weird Al" Yankovic has teamed up with Z2 Comics to release his very own graphic novel. The Illustrated Al: The Songs of "Weird Al" Yankovic was written by Yankovic himself, and will feature over 20 illustrated interpretations of his songs from various artists. Additionally, it will feature an intro by comedian Emo Phillips, who will be opening for Yankovic on his upcoming 133 date North American tour.
The book will be available in hardcover and paperback formats, as well as oversized hardcover deluxe edition that will include collector’s cards, a 3-piece art print set, a vinyl slipmat and drink coasters. A super deluxe edition will additionally include a "Weird Al" branded mini accordion. It is due for release later this year.
In a statement, Yankovic shared: “It’s such an incredible honor to see my song lyrics brought to life by some of my all-time favorite cartoonists and illustrators. I’ve actually been playing the long game—the only reason I spent four decades in the music business is so that one day I could have my very own graphic novel.”
