In traditional Woodstock style, dating back to the very first festival in 1969, the 50th anniversary installment event is seemingly riddled with problems.
A company of investors announced earlier this month that they had decided to cancel the festival. But the organizers claim it is still going to happen. Just with different financial investors.
Woodstock claims that investors stole $17.8 million from the fest’s bank account. Woodstock organizers have filed a court order against the investors claiming they didn't have the right to announce the festival's apparent cancellation. Many of the headliners have already received their fees.
