Gord Downie & Bob Rock Collaborative Album To Be Released
Gord Downie & Bob Rock Collaborative Album To Be Released
A shelved collaborative effort between late Tragically Hip front man and famed producer Bob Rock will finally see a proper release. Lustre Parfait will be released on May 5th via Toronto based label Arts & Crafts.
According to a press release, the collection came to be when Downie asked Rock if he had any music that he could could write lyrics for, following the two Rock produced Hip albums World Container (2006) and We Are The Same (2009).
In a statement, Rock shared "First and foremost Gord was my friend, and having the opportunity to work with him on these songs was one of the biggest highlights of my professional life. I am grateful that I got to witness his genius in such close proximity."
A three song teaser EP The Raven and the Red-Tailed Hawk is currently available on Bandcamp.
