Metallica Announce Tour & New Album, Share Single

Thrash metal juggernauts Metallica have announced that their new album, titled 72 Seasons, will arrive on April 14th of next year. It was produced by Greg Fidelman, as well as drummer Lars Ulrich and singer/guitarist James Hetfield.
In a statement, Hetfield shared: "72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry."
The release will coincide with a lengthy tour that will kick off in Europe, and eventually wrap up in Mexico in 2024.
Additionally, they have shared the full track list, as well as new single “Lux Æterna”, the official video for which you can check out below.
Their last album Hardwired... to Self Destruct was released in 2016.
