Trent Reznor talks the future of Nine Inch Nails

Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor recently spoke to Apple Music's Zane Lowe about the future of the band - which, in recent years, has brought Atticus Ross into the fold as a full creative partner.
“We’re both daily, we talk about how much we want to work on new Nine Inch Nails material, which I think grows when we are unable to do it, because we’re working on film stuff.” The duo are currently at work on soundtracking the Pixar film Soul, and are scheduled to begin work on a new David Fincher film following that. "So, there’s a giant pot of angst that’s just ready to be turned into something.”
In an earlier interview with Revolver, Reznor hinted at a new album and tour “We’re talking about doing some shows next year, maybe. We have a template for the next Nine Inch Nails thing we want to do. I don’t want to give it away just yet, but we haven’t been able to really execute.”
Nothing concrete as of yet, but it certainly seems like there is something bubbling under the surface within the NIN camp.
